About me
Hi, I’m Erin Hogan, a Brooklyn-based product designer who believes great design helps people feel confident taking the next step, whether that’s hiring a pro for their home or diving into something new.
Currently, I design AI-powered experiences at Thumbtack, where I help homeowners express their needs and understand the scope of their projects with clarity. Before that, I worked at Alto, building tools that made investing more approachable and intuitive. I’ve been lucky to work alongside sharp, kind cross-functional partners, and I thrive in spaces where design and strategy meet.
I studied at the School of Visual Arts and SCAD, and my path from illustration to product design taught me how storytelling, systems, and craft can coexist. My work has earned recognition like Thumbtack’s Peer Excellence Award and a Society of Illustrators selection, but what matters most to me is designing things that make people’s lives feel a little easier.
Outside of work, you’ll find me in Fort Greene with my husband and our wirehaired dachshund, Olimar, who thinks he runs the block. I recently picked up knitting, and there’s something magical about watching a strand of yarn turn into something tangible (and cozy).
If you ever want to talk design, dogs, or a good meatball recipe, I’m all ears.
